Our Home In Italy Is Up For Sale

Well, we didn't manage to realise our dream so our home in Italy is on the market. Its a great house with masses of potential for conversion of the ground floor and outbuildings to up to seven holiday apartments. Plans for these have already been drawn up by the Geometra but these have not been submitted to the Comune so there's still scope to make changes.

Our living accomodation comprises two good sized receptions, three bedrooms, a newly fitted kitchen, a bathroom (bath, shower, wc, bidet & basin). All in all, around 110 square metres. Every room has been decorated in nuetral colours over the last year. We have oil fired central heating and a stuffa in the lounge. Electricity, water and telephone are all connected and we have ADSL. There's also a huge attic area (110 sqm) with plenty of head height.

The house stands in 6,200 sqm (around 1½ acres) on the south facing side of the valley where the land slopes away gently. We have fantastic views (see picture above for around a third of it) from our two balconies at the back of the house. We are part of a small hamlet less than a 10 minute drive from the city of Pergola. Access to our house is via a comunal white road which is maintained by the Comune at a cost to us of €5 per year.
